A New Name In Bespoke Sound Systems

The tritone – the name for a musical interval in music theory –was once known as diabolus in musica or “the devil in music”. Its namesake here in Singapore is somewhat of devil too, beguiling you with heavenly sounds from its bespoke systems.

Commissioning a bespoke audio and video system isn’t something to be taken lightly, especially if you are planning to build a system from ground up. It may involve extensive collaboration with your architect, ground plans and more, which means finding the right specialist is rather important.

Although TriTone is a new professional audio company that designs, develops and delivers tailored audio and video systems, its managing director and system designer, Mervyn Augustine Loh is an industry veteran and possesses a substantial wealth of experience in designing and tuning systems, using a combination of a scientific and observatory approach to psychoacoustics. Science meets art, to put it simply.

The company is also the official distributor for some of the industry’s finest equipment, including Legacy Audio and Theta Digital. It is also an authorised dealer for brands such as Accuphase, Piega Switzerland, Oppo, Denon and Marantz. While it is understandable that TriTone will feature their partner brands in their own solutions, I’m also told that they will accommodate whatever specific brand requests that you may have – so it truly is bespoke – as well as customisations such as speaker fixtures to suit your decor.

But of course, you don’t have to take my word for it, you can visit their newly opened showroom at The Adelphi (1 Coleman Street #04-46) to see for yourself if they have the expertise to meet your requirements – their flagship store features three private showrooms showing off their cinematic, living room, and audiophile experience – but we’re pretty sure it’ll be a yes.
