Ever find that your Android phone gets sluggish after long use, and you’re tired of having to constantly clear up RAM? Well, if ASUS’ new ZenFone 2 can’t sort it out, then no one can.

The flagship ZE5551ML model in the ZenFone 2 series sports a whopping 4GB of RAM – something that competing flagship phones twice its price doesn’t have. ASUS touts this phone to exhibit ‘monster performance’, thanks to its 2.3GHz Intel Atom Z3580 processor and of course, its unprecedentedly large RAM buffer.

ASUS has gone the whole hog in cramming the best possible features into their flagship phone: a five-mode GPS, 802.11ac standard wireless, dual SIM slots, 5.5-inch Full HD display, fast 250Mbps LTE antenna, and a large and fast charging 3,000mAh battery. It also boasts the latest Android Lollipop operating system skinned with ASUS’ own ZenUI interface.

ASUS also touts its well-regarded PixelMaster technology for its cameras. The 13-megapixel rear camera is no slouch in low light conditions, while the 5-megapixel front-facing camera has a large 85 degree field of view that can reach 140 degrees in panorama mode.

Despite the hardware pomp, the phone is surprisingly ergonomic and strikingly elegant, with its aluminum hairline metallic finish complementing a comfortably curved back and slim edges for a perfect fit in your hands – and it weighs a mere 170 grams.

The ZenFone 2 (ZE5551ML 4GB RAM/32GB storage) goes on sale on 16 May at S$429 at all ASUS Authorised Retailers, ASUS Brand Stores, Asus Online Store, M1 and StarHub Shops. The 64GB version will be available on 16 May onwards at Singtel Shops for S$499.
