British Airways unveils the best destinations across England to celebrate Halloween this year.

Have a frightfully fun holiday this Halloween with a visit to one of the many spooky events taking place across the UK. If you think you’re up for the challenge, British Airways can take you and your family on a spooky adventure to one of the world’s top theme parks, scare attractions or themed events this year.

British Airways operates a twice-daily service from Singapore to London Heathrow Terminal 5 (British Airways’ home base) at a rate starting from SGD 1,582. With its new lounge at Changi Airport, British Airways First and Club World business class members can also enjoy an exclusive space to work, dine or relax when they fly with British Airways.

For Halloween this year, passengers can kick off their scary adventure in-flight with a selection of hair-raising movies such as Mad Max or Jurassic World via the airline’s Highlife Entertainment system. Travellers can book flights, hotels and car hire through British Airways and save on air fares, or opt for a fly-drive trip to visit more than one park during their visits.

Below are seven of the best spooky Halloween events that you can check out when you fly to England with British Airways.

  1. Fright Nights, Thorpe Park, Surrey, England

Just a short 20-minute bus ride from the British Airways base at London Heathrow Terminal 5, a world of thrills and chills await at Thorpe Park. This year’s freaky theme features a circus where guests are invited to brave the Big Top as well as a brand new scare maze set within an abandoned carnival. Also, be sure to take a ride at any of the park’s three coasters – Saw, The Swarm and Stealth – all happening in the dark!

Happening from 23 October to 1 November from 10am to 10pm, the Fright Nights attractions are open from 3pm.

  1. Brick or Treat, LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, England

Take the little ones along to the Brick or Treat Halloween spook-tacular at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, which is just a 20-minute ride from Terminal 5 as well. Guests are encouraged to don fancy dress outfits for the daily events while conquering the park’s 55 rides. Enjoy special Halloween-themed fun in the Enchanted Forest, Frankie Character Meet and Greet, spooky puppet shows and LEGO pumpkin patch building.

Opens daily from 19 October to 4 November, 11am to 5pm.

  1. The London Dungeon, Southbank, London, England

Have a taste of horror with this thrill-filled journey into London’s murky past. At the London Dungeon, live actors will regale the city’s darkest tales with the help of thrilling rides and special effects. It’s latest addition this year is the dungeon’s Séance! attraction –  set in 1873 at a gathering hosted by the most celebrated medium of the day in a notoriously haunted house. Based on real events, guests will find themselves transported back to 50 Berkley Square as Florence Cook prepares for her latest sitting.

Running from now to 1 November, be sure to book online in advance.

  1. Museums at Night Festival, various across London and UK

Museums across London will open their doors over the Halloween weekend with late-night exhibition viewings and Halloween-themed events. Some highlights include a talk at the Benjamin Franklin House on how the human remains of up to 10 individuals were found buried there in 1997, and the Ye Olde Tavern Quiz at the Museum of the Order of St John.

  1. Witch Academy and Trick or Treat Cocktails at The Coca-Cola London Eye, London, England

There’s a bit for everyone at the Coca-Cola London Eye, where wannabe witches can embark on a quest to unlock the Book of Spells at a school for little witches and warlocks. The interactive tour takes place 135m above the city, where adults can sample frighteningly tasty cocktails created exclusively for the Coca-Cola London Eye.

Running from 24 to 31 October, be sure to book in advance.

  1. Kiss Haunted House Party, Wembley Arena, London, England

Music fans can dress up in their best halloween costumes and head down to Wembley for a line-up of huge live acts at this Halloween-themed gig. Starring artists including Rita Ora, Rudimental, Jason Derulo and Little Mix, this event promises to shake up some goosebumps.

Kicking off at 6.30pm on 29 October, be sure to purchase tickets online beforehand.

  1. ‘Chills in the Chapel’ horror movie screenings, North London, England

Following a sold-out event last year, London’s Union Chapel will be screening classic slasher horrors for two consecutive nights – ‘Escape from New York’ on 30 October and a medley of the ‘Halloween’ series on 31 October. A live orchestra will also perform moving musical accompaniments to add a special touch to the atmosphere. Come in fancy dressing and enjoy drinks at the bar all evening.
