Brotzeit offers a Prosperity Platter this lunar new year

Looking for a different type of Lunar New Year meal? Brotzeit shares a version “touched” by German influence.

Brotzeit is celebrating Chinese New Year with a bountiful Prosperity Platter (feeds 3 to 4 persons) priced at an auspicious SGD 88. The number “8” is believed by the Chinese to symbolise  “good fortune and favour”.

Group Executive Chef Wolfgang Ranner has introduced the traditional ‘Bavarian Brathendl’ – a Spit-Roasted Whole Chicken with irresistibly crispy skin and moist, marinated meat that’s plump with flavours of lemon and herb – to serve as the centrepiece of the platter. Brotzeit recommends pairing the roast chicken dish with a crisp, refreshing lager such as Löwenbräu, to enhance the savoury, lemon-infused meat.

The Prosperity Platter includes a hearty portion of Oven-Roast Pork Belly, topped with Brotzeit’s signature crunchy pork crackling, a juicy Grilled Salmon Steaks as well as fried Shiitake, Oyster and Button Mushrooms, Sweet Potato Mash and a serve of Chinese Cabbage stirred up in Garlic Cream Sauce.

The Chinese New Year Prosperity Platter is available at all outlets for dine-in and take-away from 24 January to 5 February.
