Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day By The Singapore River
Singapore River One presents a colourful St. Patrick’s Day Street Parade this March, offering a range of fun-filled activities and Irish specialties.
The annual St. Patrick’s Day Street Festival returns this 17 to 20 March to bring a variety of family-friendly activities, live performances by local bands and unique Irish dishes along the Singapore River.
Irish Cuisine
Foodies may delight in a range of traditional Irish favourites offered by a host of participating merchants at the festival.
Head over to Molly Malone to sample the traditional Whiskey & Bacon Marmalade with Soda Bread (SGD 8) – a popular favourite among Molly Malone’s loyal customers. Other dishes to try include the mini beer battered Fish & Chips (SGD 12++), which is served with tartar sauce and steak cut chips on the side.
Slurp on Native Irish Oysters (SGD 36 for 6) while taking in the view of the Singapore Skyline at Southbridge; and be sure to pair the oysters with any of their Irish vodka concoctions (from SGD 20).
Pop by Hero’s, Mogambo & Public House to sample The Paddy’s (SGD 12) – a signature Irish burger featuring thinly sliced corned beef topped with caramelised onions and Irish cheddar cheese.
Alternatively, get your fill of Shepherd’s Pie (SGD 15) at Draft and Craft before ending the night at RedDot Brewhouse with a Monster Green Lager (SGD 11++).
Family-friendly activities
Activities such as face and nail painting, hair braiding and colouring, balloon sculpting and bouncy castles will also be available to keep the younger ones entertained while you explore the festival.
Be sure not to miss live performances by Irish-themed bands such as The Slings and Singapore Trad Collective, for an entertaining weekend celebrating Irish culture.
