The soils of lime-marl and sand-lime brick yield a harmonious interplay of herbal components and a fine acidity. Fermented in 600-litre barrels, the wine is matured in large barrels and would complement perfectly with fish or white poultry.

Winery Hillinger

Micheal Hoeffken, representative of Winery Hilllinger will also be present at the event to take guests through the history and viniculture of Hillinger. Hillinger has successfully switched to organic winemaking since 2010, focusing on soil development and dispensing with synthetic fertilisers.

Hillinger Pinot Blanc TerroirGuests will be able to find out more about their signature wines including the Pinot Blanc Terroir 2015 – spicy with a long finish and married with elements of pear, quince, pineapple and a hint of lavender.

Last but not least, the dinner will see Josef Farthofer and Doris Hausberger, managers of one of the famed spirit distilleries in Austria, Distillery Farthofer . Having kept their family tradition of distilling schnapps for over a hundred years, guests will be able to sample a glass of their Schnapps in an array of flavours from Williams Pear and Muscadine Grape to Old Plum.
