Cherry Garden welcomes Year of the Fire Rooster with celebratory menus
Cherry Garden’s celebratory Chinese New Year restaurant menu to offer Singapore’s largest traditional ‘Pen Cai’ dish
Starting from 5 January, Mandarin Oriental Singapore’s Cherry Garden will be welcoming the Chinese Year of the Fire Rooster with Chinese New Year set menus, signature festive Yu Sheng, delectable spring goodies, as well as exquisite takeaway dishes and gift hampers.
Families celebrating Chinese New Year can order the “Cherry Garden Luxurious Pen Cai”. The Pen Cai is a traditional Chinese New Year dish topped with premium ingredients including braised four-head abalone, lobsters, scallops, sea cucumbers, prawns, dried oyster rolls, conpoy, dace fillet, roasted duck, lotus chicken, roasted pork belly, waxed sausages, mushrooms, as well as cabbage and black moss. It is meant to symbolise that the diners will enjoy an “abundance of good fortune” and the dish will be served in a large traditional ‘basin dish’, weighing more than 25 kilogrammes and measuring up to 45 centimetres in diameter.
Cherry Garden will also offer a Weekend Family Brunch for diners to enjoy dim sum, roasted meats and seafood, as well as delectable soups and desserts.
For customers that are welcoming the lunar new year at home, they can consider the spring festive takeaway menu. The menu comprises of a Chinese New Year Special Radish Cake, packed with waxed meats, dried shrimps, white radish and carrots, or the Red Dates Nian Gao, an alluring red hue of sticky goodness. They can also order the Cherry Garden Treasure Pot of 13 fine ingredients that include sea treasures, poultry and vegetables, the Braised Pork Belly with whole eight-head abalone, and Cherry Wood Roasted Duck.
Signature festive goodies available for order include the Cherry Garden Fortune Gift Box – 16 miniature green tea mochi balls, stuffed with sweet lotus paste filling and macadamia nuts – and the Blossom Pineapple sable cookies. Customers can also consider the Oriental Fortune Hamper and Cherry Garden Hamper or Mandarin Prosperity Hamper that includes a luxurious selection of assorted treats, premium red and white wines, XO sauce, caramelised cashew nuts with sesame, chocolate pralines, complete with Cherry Garden signature Emerald Tea. The Mandarin Prosperity Hamper adds on a bottle of Hennessy XO cognac making it a special gift to receive this lunar new year.
