Walk in support of an inclusive nation at this year’s Community Chest Heartstrings Walk, happening this Sunday, 31 July.

Aimed at raising awareness for people with disabilities, the Community Chest Heartstrings Walk 2016 is set to be an inclusive event with family-friendly activities appropriate for people with and without disabilities to interact.

The event will kick off at 7am this Sunday with the Race to the Sky Vertical Marathon, a competitive challenge that involves sprinting up 57 levels at Marina Bay Sands Tower 3. The first female and male individuals and the top three fastest teams to reach Marina Bay Sands SkyPark will take home the prize.

This is followed by the 4km Fun Walk which flags off at 9am, and is aimed at bringing the community, volunteers and beneficiaries together. Held at Marina Bay Sands, Event Plaza, registration for the walk is priced at SGD 10 and includes one corporate-sponsored goodie bag (while stocks last).

On top of these events, a fun-filled Family Carnival will also be available from 9.30am, offering games, activities and experiential booths designed for people with and without disabilities. Through these activities, participants can gain a better understanding of the challenges faced by those with disabilities. Entry to the Family Carnival is free.
