The Fitbit Sense will be Fitbit’s most advanced health smartwatch. It will be available for retail in Singapore for SGD 488 in late September.

The Fitbit Sense ™ will have technology powering the world’s first electrodermal activity (EDA) sensor on a smartwatch. The EDA sensor and technology can help users help manage stress, while including features such as advanced heart rate tracking technology, new ECG app, and an on-wrist skin temperature sensor, all powered by 6+ days’ of battery life.

The new smartwatch comes paired with a free six-month trial of Fitbit Premium to help users track key trends with their health and wellbeing.

This is Fitbit’s first device with a new ECG app that can assess a user’s heart rhythm for signs of atrial fibrillation (AFib), a condition that affects more than 33.5 million people globally.

The Fitbit Sense combines on-device and in-app experience to provide users with insights into their body’s response to stress. It also comes with tools to help users manage both their physical and mental stress.

The new EDA sensor on Fitbit Sense measures electrodermal activity responses. Measuring EDA responses can help users understand their body’s response to stressors and help them manage your stress.

There is also the Fitbit’s Stress Management Score that calculates how the user’s body is responding to stress based on heart rate, sleep and activity level data. Available with Fitbit Sense, it can be found in the new stress management tile in the Fitbit app.

The Score ranges from 1-100, with a higher score indicating the body is showing fewer physical signs of stress. The score comes together with recommendations on better managing stress, such as breathing exercises and other mindfulness tools.

Fitbit Premium members will also received a detailed breakdown on how the score is calculated, which consists of over 10 biometric inputs, such as exertion balance (impact of activity), responsiveness (heart rate, heart rate variability and electrodermal activity from the EDA Scan app), and sleep patterns (sleep quality).

The Fitbit Sense is available for pre-order on Fitbit.com and will be available at major retail stores in Singapore such as Best Denki, Challenger, Courts, E-Gadget, Gain City, Harvey Norman starting in late September. The smartwatch is available for SGD 488 in carbon/graphite stainless steel and lunar white/soft gold stainless steel.
