Flash Forward 2025 Champions Menopause Awareness and Workplace Support
Singapore’s first large-scale menopause summit, Flash Forward 2025, marked a pivotal moment for women’s health advocacy on 26 April at NTUC Centre.
Organised by Sol (Spring of Life), the summit gathered over 160 attendees, including healthcare professionals, corporate leaders, and community advocates, for a full day of expert-led discussions, networking, and science-backed insights.
Featuring 40 professionals across medicine, mental health, career development, and lifestyle fields, Flash Forward 2025 aimed to shift the narrative around menopause—from stigma to strength.

Breaking the Silence on Menopause
Menopause is often a silent struggle, leading many to withdraw from leadership, decision-making, and visibility.
Keynote speaker Dr Loh Foo Hoe, former Menopause Research Society President, opened the summit with an in-depth look at how menopause care has evolved, paving the way for more personalised and effective health solutions. He highlighted key components of a healthy transition, including:
- Hormone replacement therapy
- Regular exercise
- A balanced diet
- Strong social connections
Menopause is not a pause—it’s a powerful inflection point, shared Grace Oh, Founder of Sol. “For too long, women have navigated this transition alone. Flash Forward is our way of saying: you’re not alone, and this stage of life can be the most vibrant, connected, and purpose-driven yet.”

A Platform for Knowledge and Connection
Flash Forward 2025 featured six core sessions, covering topics such as recognising early changes in menopause, hormone health, and the future of menopause care in Singapore. The summit’s Flash Networking session was a highlight—an energetic, speed-meeting format where attendees engaged directly with experts in women’s health, fitness, psychotherapy, and lifestyle medicine.

The summit also responded to real workplace challenges, with corporate leaders advocating for policy shifts in how organisations support employees navigating menopause.
Danielle Sharpe, Managing Director at Standard Chartered, emphasised the importance of workplace inclusion:
“It’s one thing to raise awareness. It’s another to have a policy. We need to build a culture of support, making menopause a normal part of workplace wellness.”
Menopause and Survivorship: A Personal Story
Among the day’s most powerful moments was the testimony of breast cancer survivor Tracy Hoo, who shared how menopause and survivorship are often seen as separate conversations, despite their deep connection.
Impact Beyond the Summit
Flash Forward 2025’s mission-driven approach ensured accessibility, with affordable pricing and all proceeds after event costs pledged to organisations such as:
- Singapore Medical Association Charity Fund
- Breast Cancer Foundation
- AWARE
- Singapore Cancer Society
Backed by cross-sector sponsors, including Amili Health (a leader in gut microbiome science) and LGT Bank, the summit signals a growing movement toward menopause-inclusive policies in both healthcare and corporate spaces.
Sol has confirmed plans to release panel recordings and expand the initiative into future programming—continuing the momentum toward better menopause awareness, education, and support systems.
