China’s First Lady officially takes residence at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong
Madame Tussauds Hong Kong has recently announced the official arrival of Peng Liyuan, renowned soprano performing artist and “China’s First Lady”. Her wax figure can now be found at the attraction’s “Historical and National Heroes” themed area, along with the wax figures of various world leaders and historical heroes.
Known not just for her accomplishments as a soprano and top-tier performing artist, Peng is also deeply committed to numerous charitable causes. In 2011, she was appointed World Health Organisation Goodwill Ambassador for tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS. As a tribute to Peng’s philanthropic contributions, approachable personality and elegant sense of style, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong has decided to produce the world’s first wax figure of her, enabling fans from around the world to “meet” her up-close.
Donning a classic blue wrap dress, Peng’s wax figure has been created to exemplify her elegance and contemporary sense of style.
