Savouring Spain (10 – 18 July, 2015)
Guests will enjoy the epicurean experience and sample some of the finest wines and cuisine the Basque region has to offer. They will also get to witness the country’s most famous annual fiesta of San Fermin in Pamplona, famously recognised for the running of the bulls through the streets of the old quarter – a spectacle unimaginable in any other place in the world. At the Silken Gran Domine Hotel, visitors will also get to see the Guggenheim architectural masterpiece and immerse themselves into the culinary world of pintxos and visit wineries in Rioja before finishing with a private balcony view of the Running of the Bulls and a farewell dinner at Azark a three Michelin stars restaurant.
Ladakh – Mountains, Monks & Monasteries (19 – 27 Sep 2015)
The Ladakhi live on the remote Tibetan plateau and are pretty much cut off from the rest of the world by the Himalayas and Karakorum. At Ladakh, guests will be able to experience their ancient culture amidst some of the world’s most stunning albeit inhospitable landscape.
The trip begins with a spectacular drive from the plateau through stunning terrain, stopping off at oasis villages and unseen monasteries along the way. Ending at the capital of Leh, travellers receive an education into Ladakh culture and history with a series of special private visits and talks. Partway through, guests will be moved to The Chamba Camp, a luxury tented accommodation, that will serve as a base to hike into the countryside.
Other itineraries available include an Iran – The Heart of Persia package in October and an India Photography Workshop with Michael Freeman in November.
