Explore the enchanting world of elephants through the new ‘Walking with Giants’ experience with Anantara

Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort’s renowned onsite Elephant Camp offers guests a range of fun, interactive and educational experiences with its friendly herd of rescued gentle giants. Set up in 2003 as a traditional mahout village, the Elephant Camp works alongside Anantara’s Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation, which has rescued over 40 elephants from Thailand’s city streets to date.

With the resort’s new two-hour long ‘Walking with Giants’ experience, guests can look forward to a highly personal encounter with the elephants. More than just a walk, the ‘Walking with Giants’ programme aims to help  guests get to know the elephants better and develop an emotional connection with them.

Guests who sign up for ‘Walking with Giants’ will join the elephants on their daily stroll, accompanied by their mahout caregivers and either the Camp’s resident vet or biologist. The programme includes helping to prepare snacks for the elephants, participating in enrichment activities and gaining insights from qualified scientific experts on elephant biology and behaviour.

‘Walking with Giants’, along with the Mahout Experience and Elephant Learning Experience, is offered as part of the resort’s  all-inclusive Discovery Package. A range of additional elephant activities such as Elephant Yoga, Sunset Elephant Trek, Dining by Design at the Baby Elephant Camp and Elephant Picnic will also be available at an extra charge.
