Got to Move, an inter-generational fun activity for families

By  |  0 Comments

Got to Move is a nationwide dance movement organised by the National Arts Council

This is the third year that the Got to Move event is running and takes place until the 29 October, 2017. The event features over 220 dance-related programmes held at various locations islandwide.  We curate a few of the events from Got to Move that family members from grandparents to parents to children and grandchildren, can take part in and enjoy some family bonding time. This year, Got to Move hopes to showcase how dance can be a connective glue that brings together various generations through a family activity.

Multi-Generation Barn Dance Workshop by The DanceSport Academy
This dance workshop brings different generations in a family together to learn traditional folk dance. The Barn Dance is a dance combining traditional folk music with traditional dancing, and it’s suitable for people who do not normally dance to come together and do simple and fun steps, without much stress of learning complex dance moves. Families will definitely be in for a jolly good time!
