Henri Charpentier Opens First Online Shop In Singapore
Fans of the French-inspired Japanese patisserie Henri Charpentier can now get their confectionery and dessert fix right at their doorstep, with its first online shop in Singapore.
Partnering online shopping mall Rakuten – known for its focus on Japanese products and food & beverage offerings – the new online shop will offer the patisserie’s financiers, madeleines, baked fruit tarts and cookies, while fresh cakes will be only be available later this year before Christmas.
Making its debut in Singapore is the Matcha au Financiers, which is a special variation of the popular Les Financiers featuring the same blend of Marcona and Fritz almonds and Hokkaido cultured butter, with a special infusion of green tea powder from the city of Uj. The Matcha Au Financiers are going at a special opening price of SGD 20 for eight pieces, while Les Financiers are starting from SGD 14.30 for five pieces.
Other items available on the online menu include the Les Madeleines, featuring a delightful mixture of Hokkaido wheat, Jamaican rum and fully-riped Sugarcane Rum. These sweet creations are slightly crisp on the outside, breaking into a moist, lemony interior with a hint of sweetness. The Les Madeleines are going at SGD 14.30 for five pieces.
For a combination of Henri Carpentier’s two most well-loved baked treats – the Financiers and Madelines, opt for a box of Financiers et Madeleines, which starts from SGD 22 for eight pieces.
The must-have Tarte Fruits Assortie features a selection of Henri Charpentier’s best treats in a box. Expect to find four different tarts with exquisite fruit toppings – apricot and coconut; mango and pineapple; fig and orange; and mix berries. The box will also include Financiers and Madeleines, as well as two types of light and crispy cookies (Crème Biscuit), in the flavours of rum and raisin and crème. The Tarte Fruits Assortie is starting from SGD 66 for 18 pieces.
The Gâteux Cuits Assortie features a set of signatures such as the Financier and Madeleine, and Petit Gâteux Assortis – bite-sized confections coming in flavours like espresso, pistachio, caramel, chocolate and more. The Gâteux Cuits Assortie is starting from SGD 32.90 for 15 pieces.
Lastly, the Petit à Petit features delicious bite-sized cookies in nine flavours – fromage, praline, dark chocolate, white chocolate, vanilla, raspberry, butter, cinnamon and strawberry. It also comes with an Eiffel Tower-shaped toothpick for an added Parisian touch.
To celebrate its launch, Henri Charpentier will offer free shipping for purchases worth SGD 50 or more, from now till September 30. Purchases exceeding SGD 100 or more will come with a complimentary box of Financier Ingots, and customers purchasing SGD 200 or more will receive a 50 percent off dine-in voucher for use at Henri Charpentier’s restaurant at Dempsey Hill.
