HTC’s new E9+ looks the business

The most interesting phones these days fall into the mid-range bracket. The new HTC One E9+ dual sim is a feature-packed, lightweight smartphone with a 2K display (more than Full HD), and has that extra pizazz  sleekness and sophistication.

These attractive phones feature stylish rose gold appointments, contrasted by a white or sepia back cover. On the inside, the phones are powered by the latest MediaTek flagship 2GHz octacore processor, and garnished with the latest version of the HTC Sense. The phone also features 3GB of RAM, 32GB of on-board storage, and an expandable memory slot that supports up to 2TB. Additionally, it supports two nano SIM cards, making it perfect for frequent work travellers. No complaints here in the hardware department.

In addition, the 5.5-inch, 2K display (QHD 1440 x 2560) has 77% more pixels than Full HD for a pristine, sharp display; a rarity for a mid-priced phone in the 5.5-inch category. In addition to HTC BoomSound – HTC’s famously good, front-facing speakers – the E9 features a partnership with Dolby Audio Surround, and promises richer, more detailed sound regardless of whether it’s through the speakers or through headphones.

The 20-megapixel rear camera also records in 4K resolution while the front-facing camera comes with a wide-angled HTC UltraPixel camera, which is designed to perform well in dimly lit environments.

The HTC One E9+ dual sim will be available in Gold Sepia and Rose Gold from August 29, 2015 at M1, Singtel, StarHub, and all major retailers at a recommended retail price of S$698 without contract.

Gold Sepia

*Updated: now available at only M1, instead of all three telcos
