iflix For Your Video Kicks
If you’re a TV junkie who lives in Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam, keep a look out for iflix.
iflix is an Internet TV service designed for Southeast Asia, and is a partnership between regional entrepreneurs and Hollywood heavyweights. They offer subscribers unlimited access to 10,000 hours of entertainment for a low monthly price. However, there’s no word yet on whether the service will come to Singapore.
But there’s better news for the rest: recently, iflix announced that they have entered into multiple content agreements with some of Hollywood’s top studios, including Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution, BBC Worldwide and Warner Bros International Television Distribution.
The catalogue deals feature award-winning TV series such as:

- American Horror Story
- Doctor Who
- Sherlock
- The Big Bang Theory
- Modern Family
- Sons of Anarchy
- Sleepy Hollow
- New Girl
- It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
- Orphan Black
- Arrow
- Friends
iflix also boasts a catalogue of action movies such as Superman Returns, Batman Begins, Green Lantern and Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.
For those who have been watching HBO and Netflix via VPN and are worried about being banned, you can sleep a little easier now that a viable alternative is stepping up to the plate soon.
