Jaguar XE Takes Home Euro NCAP’s Large Family Car Award
The Jaguar XE, which has already been capped with the maximum five-star rating from Euro NCAP in 2015, triumphed in the large family car segment of the Best In Class Cars of 2015 awards.
The new full width frontal test marks a significant development for the demanding standards set between the latest safety technologies and older vehicles, which means more in-depth work from the manufacturers in order to keep up with the rising safety demands.
And it seems like Jaguar has just raised the bar for vehicle dynamics with their award. Jaguar has proven that their advanced technology lives up to the challenge with their high level of active and passive safety systems, including the standard-fitted autonomous emergency braking system which can provide additional protection against whiplash injury in the event of a rear-end impact.
The Jaguar XE also rates impressively with a score of 92% for Adult Occupant protection and outscored the competition on Safety Assist, with all features assessed by Euro NCAP being standard equipment on the XE, notably electronic stability control, seat belt reminder for the front and rear seats, driver-set speed limiter, a lane departure warning system; and its autonomous emergency braking system.
