Up your game and be on the move with this new product from Jawbone.

One of Jawbone’s two newest fitness trackers, the UP Move from Jawbone in terms of aesthetics is a coin shaped fitness tracker that comes with most of the same features as the other Jawbone UP trackers. Tiny in size and available in a variety of cool colours, the device can be fixed into a wristband or discreetly clipped onto clothing should you be reluctant to wear in on your wrist for fear of being labeled as a ‘hospital patient’.

In terms of usage duration, the Up Move features a replaceable flat coin battery, which can be used for up to six months, further underlining the product’s simplicity in design as Jawbone eschews the need for charging. As for performance, the UP Move is relatively easy to use, upon tapping of the single button found on the gadget’s face once, you will receive a marker for the number of steps you have taken thus far in a day. Tapping it twice will bring you to its time telling mode – with the gadget’s circumference lighting up in a clockwise motion with the solid LED representing the hour mark and the blinking one representing the five-minute intervals akin to an analogue watch face.

To have a more detailed description of your daily activities, there’s also the free UP App that can be downloaded to your smartphone or tablet. Compatible with both iOS and Android, the app offers a myriad of functions such as food tracking, data crunching that offers fitness and nutrition tips for further improvement as well as the ability to record caffeinated beverages to tell you how much caffeine you have consumed and how it might affect your sleep.

Simple and intuitive to use, the UP Move from Jawbone will definitely come in handy after all the feasting this Christmas and New Year’s Eve. This is a gadget that will fit in nicely with your New Year’s resolution of keeping fit.
