Check out the world’s first life-sized coffee capsules race car display at Royal Plaza on Scotts and stand to win a 2D1N weekend stay at the hotel.

Royal Plaza on Scotts Singapore (RP) celebrates Singapore’s eighth night motor racing season with a first-of-its-kind life-sized coffee capsules race car display.

Tying in with the hotel’s green initiatives, this year’s life-sized race car features recycled coffee capsules from nine different Grand Cru varieties, collected from the hotel’s guestrooms and meeting rooms that provide guests with complimentary gourmet coffee from Nespresso machines.

Staying true to the theme of Kopi GP, recycled coffee grounds are used on the wheels to create a contrast in textures and at the same time, allow guests to have a whiff of the coffee aroma. The structure took a dedicated team of eight chefs and culinary staff over 1100 hours to complete.

A Community Chest donation box has been placed alongside the display to raise funds for the less privileged. The hotel hopes to raise more than SGD 3,000 from the initiative and all funds raised will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the government under the Care & Share movement led by Community Chest.

RP’s life-sized coffee capsules race car is on display from now till 20 September 2015.
