If you’re in the market for a new smartphone, then why not head down to the Samsung Galaxy Studio this weekend to have a hands-on experience with the most advanced smartphone in the world right now: the new Samsung Galaxy Note7.

The Samsung Note7 takes its cue from the highly successful S series released this year and takes it up a notch. It bears the same design DNA, but with is packed with the latest features mobile technology has to offer.

First off, say goodbye to biometric scanning — the standout feature by far is its iris recognition technology. When set up and used correctly, it’s almost instantaneous. It can also be used to log into a Secure Folder where you can hold your private information and apps. It reinforces the fact that security is a key feature for the Note7. Its defence-grade security platform, Samsung Knox, is supported by over 120 enterprise mobility management providers, making it suitable for both work and leisure.

The Note7 is also waterproof and dustproof now, and both the phone and the S Pen stylus are IP68-certified.

On the entertainment front, you’ll notice that the Note7 has a particularly vibrant screen (5.7-inch QHD, 2560×1440) with an impressive colour gamut. This is the first smartphone to support HDR video, which till now has been the exclusive domain of high-end televisions and monitors.

Other standouts include top-of-the-line camera performance (same camera as the Galaxy S7), a large 3,500mAh battery, dual-SIM capability (two SIM or one SIM + one microSD), and 64GB of internal storage. Let’s not forget the stylus too; it can now register 4,096 levels of pressure and is more responsive than ever. Several software features have also been added, including brush head styles as well as a translate feature amongst other things.

Finally, it goes without saying that the Note7 will be shipping with the most powerful processors that money can buy — an octa-core (2.3GHz Quad-core + 1.6GHz Quad-core) coupled with 4Gb of RAM.
