Malaysia George Town Festival Returns This July

By  |  0 Comments

The annual Malaysia George Town Festival returns this 29 July to 28 August for a month-long celebration of arts, culture, heritage and community.

Held annually at Penang island, the Malaysia George Town Festival is a showcase of regional and international art and culture that will make your vacation an even more memorable one. As one of Malaysia’s best-kept secrets, Penang prides itself on attractions such as its beautiful Chinese clan houses and mansions, British-era Fort Cornwallis and Clock Tower, as well as resplendent Buddhist and Hindu temples.

The entire city of George Town will be transformed into a live giant canvas featuring arts, music, dance, theatre and site-specific installations. Take home genuine souvenirs from Penang such as local handicrafts and artworks – made specially by artists to ensure your souvenir is one-of-a-kind.

The UNESCO World Heritage Site will flaunt an art exhibition, a street show, live music, and site installations set to entertain visitors. Learn about Penang’s rich heritage, culture and history from hundreds of wall murals and quirky wire art installations, that will also make for beautiful photos opportunities.

While most festival events are free and open to the public, the ticketed shows are affordably priced starting from USD 10 per pax.
