Netflix Arrives in Singapore Early 2016
Fans of Internet streaming TV, you already have something to look forward to next year – Netflix is coming.
Netflix says it will arrive here in early 2016, and you will be able to subscribe and instantly watch a curated selection of popular TV shows and movies in HD, or UHD 4K if available. There will also be a wide selection of programming for kids.
Netflix popularity stems from its excellent selection of programmes and user experience, as well as nice touches like being able to watch your programmes from any internet-enabled device that supports Netflix – you can watch it on your smart TV, pause, and then watch it on the go through your Netflix app on your mobile phone (watch your data consumption though).
Prices, programming and supported devices however, will only be announced at a later date. The natural question to ask is whether or not we’ll have access to all the programmes that the US that there’s a chance we may not get the entire range of programmes in the Netflix portfolio, but it’s still too early to say – it could just mean that there will be additional tie-ups to provide localised programming in various languages as well.
