New Small Plates Menu At Argentine Restaurant, BoCHINche

The Argentine Restaurant now opens till late, serving up an all-new small plates menu featuring hearty dishes that are great for sharing.

BoCHINche celebrates the nation’s passion for food with its new small plates menu designed for sharing.

The new menu features Small Cold Plates – a selection of light and refreshing Argentine dishes, and Small Hot Plates – a selection of protein-packed dishes with a myriad of flavours.

Here are some of the dishes we’ve tried:

Small Cold Plates

Chipa bread, & grilled aubergine cream (SGD 8)

BoCHINche

Hearty, doughy balls of bread filled with the best thing on earth – oozy cheese – and served with an interesting savoury aubergine (eggplant) dip on the side. The Chipa bread is great for starters, and is definitely a hit for lovers of cheese.

Cured trout, cauliflower, dill mayo & toasted almonds (SGD 16)

This is one tasty combination of lightly cured trout slices served cold, with just the right amount of toasted almonds for that added crunch. The dill mayo nicely complements the trout slices giving it an extra burst of flavour.

Sea bass ceviche, lemon curd, coriander & pickled radishes (SGD 15)

The fresh, raw sea bass chunks are served in a refreshing citrusy soup-like sauce that completely kills off any hint of fishiness. This cold dish is great if you’re looking for something light and zesty, and of course, if you’re a fan of raw fish.

Watermelon salad, mozzarella cream, tomatoes & pumpkin seeds (SGD 13)

This aesthetically-pleasing dish looks almost like a dessert at first glance. With refreshing thick watermelon squares layered with savoury mozzarella cream (reminiscent of whipped cream), topped with watermelon ice shavings and pumpkin seeds, this multi-textured dish packs a myriad of flavours with every bite.

Small Hot Plates

Classic provoleta, almonds & oregano honey (SGD 17)

Classic Provoleta, Almonds & Honey

Do not be fooled by the petite size of this dish as it is definitely made for sharing. Rich in layers of baked melted cheese, the provoleta is topped with crunchy toasted almonds and drizzled with honey to give a nice combination of sweet and savoury tastes. It’s best to tuck in while it’s hot before the cheese cools off and hardens.

Crab & humita croquettes, spicy criolla sauce (SGD 15)

Great for starters, these crusty croquette balls unveil a flavourful mixture of warm crab and humita (steamed corn cakes). The spicy criolla sauce perfectly complements the croquettes, adding a tang to this crispy number.

Caramelised pork belly, grilled prawns, sweet potato & chorizo (SGD 18)

There’s no better way to get your dose of protein than with this pleasant combination of red meat and seafood. The tender pork belly is well-caramelised to give a rich, mildly sweet flavour, while the sweet and juicy grilled prawns are sectioned by a slice of crunchy chorizo in between.

Veal sweetbreads, piquillo peppers & garrapinada (caramelised peanuts) (SGD 21)

These veal sweetbreads are so tender they will melt in your mouth. The garrapinada (caramelised peanuts) add a nice crunch while the piquillo peppers takes the flavours of this dish to new heights.

BCC_Chimichurri steak burger with chips and garlic mayonnaise

Fresh from the grill, be sure to look out for BoCHINche’s hearty Chimichurri steak burger with chips and garlic mayonnaise. Featuring a ribeye steak patty amped up with bone marrow, the burger is served with chimichurri sauce and a side of Chips Provenzal that goes perfectly with the flavourful homemade garlic mayonnaise.

The Chimichurri steak burger with chips and garlic mayonnaise is going at SGD 29.

BoCHINche serves dinner till late – Tuesdays to Thursdays, and Sundays, from 5.30pm to 12mn; and on Fridays and Saturdays from 5.30pm to 1am. Last order is at 10.50pm. The restaurant is closed on Mondays.

  • BoCHINche invites guests to unwind with their Sundown Happy Hour which offers a selection of cocktails and other intoxicating creations at the bar. Drinks are priced at SGD 10++, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm daily.
  • Enjoy BoCHINche’s Best Burger and Chips Promotion every Tuesday from 5.30pm to 8.30pm at SGD 29++, with a beer on the house.
  • Celebrate midweek with Provoleta Wednesdays, with free flow of BoCHINche’s signature Provoleta cheese, paired with Argentine wines, every Wednesday during Happy Hour from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
