NTUC Income Launches Orange Health

By  |  0 Comments

Orange Health is launched by NTUC Income to reward those making an effort to be healthy.

NTUC Income, Unity Pharmacy and Healthway Medical Corporative are working together on Orange Health – a suite of initiatives that include a basic health screening, a mobile app and a series of incentives that look to reward customers for staying healthy.

Customers can undergo a basic health screening for S$15, at selected Unity Pharmacy outlets or at Healthway Medical (on Saturdays only) located at the Ang Mo Kio, Bras Basah and Tampines NTUC Income branches.

The screening will cover four health markers – BMI, blood pressure, fasting blood glucose and cholesterol. Unity Pharmacy outlets utilise a ‘point-of-care’ system that allows for same-day results and minimal blood draw. With Healthway Medical, the results will be available after three weeks.

For those who are keen, NTUC Income suggests to register for the health screening two weeks in advance and a mandatory requirement to fast for twelve hours prior. As an incentive, for customers who are currently insured under NTUC Income’s IncomeShield or Enhanced IncomeShield, they will receive a S$50 CapitaMall shopping voucher if they pass their health screening tests. Customers will receive the same incentive if they pass the same health screening test a year later.

Interested parties who are currently not NTUC Income customers can receive S$50 discount off their first year premium if they sign up for Enhanced IncomeShield.

Orange Health Mobile App

Orange Health

The Orange Health mobile app is available on the iOS and Android platforms. The app has a feature called the Digital Vault that allows customers to save important information such as allergies, medication and insurance policies. The app can help facilitate regular sharing of the information via email to family members and designated persons. Customers can also set up reminders for health checks and to take medication as well as medical appointments.

Health CardInsurance Policy

Another key feature is the Caregiver function, that allows the customer to assign a caregiver and schedule notifications that helps inform the caregiver whether the customer has acknowledged their notifications for taking their medication or whether they have attended their medical appointments.

Health Schedule

NTUC Income confirmed that health screening results are not shared with them and remains the property of the customer. The customer can choose whether to submit the health screening report. Data saved on the app will also not be sent to NTUC Income.
