Ocean Spray Brings Cranberry Craze To Singapore

Studies show cranberries may help suppress bacteria that cause stomach ulcers generally common among Asians.

Growing evidence suggests cranberries not only help us meet the recommended daily intake of fruit, but are also nutrient-dense and provide whole body health benefits from the heart to the digestive tract. In fact, a recent study suggests that drinking cranberry juice twice a day may also help suppress the bacteria that causes stomach ulcers. Asians present their ulcer symptoms a decade earlier than Caucasians, and it has been suggested that this could be attributed to the Helicobacter pylori bacterial infection that is more common in Asia than in most developed Western countries.

Unlike other fruits, cranberries contain several unique compounds, such as proanthocyanidins that help keep certain harmful bacteria from sticking inside the body and causing infection.

Recently, Ocean Spray has launched a full range of cranberry products to Singapore’s shores. Product options of this exceptional berry include a variety of Cranberry juice drinks as well as Craisins Dried Cranberries. Ocean Spray cranberry products are available nationwide at all supermarkets.
