Oishii Japan returns for its third time this year, featuring 266 exhibitors from 32 Japanese prefectures.

Join Oishii Japan in its largest Japanese F&B showcase from 16 to 18 October 2014 and celebrate Japan’s culture and cuisine with the wide array of food, beverage and related equipment and machinery available. Visitors can expect to find an all-encompassing display of classic Japanese ingredients, seasonal produces, unique prefecture specialties as well as innovative technology and machinery to boost productivity at the showcase.

Some highlights of the event this year include workshops and seminars conducted by Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) as well as a new confectionery and desserts area – J-Sweets Collection.

MAFF will be promoting specialties from a number of selected prefectures and will also have green tea and sake bars set up for tasting sessions at their pavilion. Educational workshops will also be conducted to provide visitors with tips on how to recreate healthy and delicious Japanese food at home.

Those with a sweet tooth are in for a treat as J-Sweets Collection will showcase over 40 exhibitors featuring Japanese confectionery and desserts like snacks, candies and wagashi (traditional Japanese mochi).

Do not miss the live demonstrations and workshops helmed by new and returning industry experts including a cooking demonstration by Chef Akihiro Maetomo (Chikuyotei, InterContinental Singapore), ‘Creative Dessert with Japanese Ingredients’ workshop by Singapore chef Janice Wong (2am:dessert bar), a sushi seminar conducted by Chef Tadao Fujisaki (Tokyo Sushi Academy) and many others. Visitors can expect to gain a greater understanding of the use and versatility of Japanese ingredients and products through these various workshops.

Last but not least, Oishii Japan 2014’s J-Food Street is where visitors can delight in purchasing and consuming Japanese small bites, snacks and beverages which will feature brands like Samurice, Sushi Burrito, Nana’s Green Tea and Annabella Patisserie.

Oishii Japan will be held at Suntec Singapore, Halls 404-406, Raffles Boulevard, Suntec City. The event is open to the public on 18 October 2014 from 11am to 5.00pm and tickets are going at S$4 per person. Admission is free for children 12 years and below.
