OnePlus 3 to Launch End of July
The latest flagship mobile device from OnePlus promises top-tier performance at mid-tier prices.
OnePlus is an up and coming Chinese smartphone manufacturer aspiring to provide Android mobile phones that balance quality with user-friendly designs and their phones will be officially available in Singapore for the first time. The newly unveiled OnePlus 3 will soon find its way to our shores this coming July and will be available in two colour variants — Graphite and Soft Gold.
The OnePlus 3 boasts all-metal build and measures a mere 7.3mm in thickness. It also features a 5.5-inch, 1080p Optic AMOLED display — OnePlus’ colour-optimised AMOLED. It packs the new flagship-class, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 6 GB of RAM. OnePlus 3 outperforms its predecessor OnePlus 2 with a notable 40% boost in graphical power. While storage is not expandable, it does have a reasonable 64GB capacity built-in.
Apart from good core specifications, the OnePlus 3 also has many other nice touches. It has dual Nano SIM card support, which allows users to have two lines on a single phone instead of having to carry two handsets. Dash Charge lets you have up to a day’s worth of power just by speed-charging the 3,000mAh battery for a mere 30 minutes.
The 16-megapixel rear camera has Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) built-in and features Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS) as well to further minimise blurring. Photography enthusiasts will be pleased to know that it has a manual mode option that offers the advanced controls of a DSLR and the option to capture images in RAW. Other useful camera features include HD Mode, Auto HDR and Dynamic De-noise, which compares several frames of the same photo and blends them together in post-processing to reduce noise.
