Pasta Fresca Da Salvatore: New Pasta Creations & A New Interior
Pasta Fresca Da Salvatore dishes out fresh creations and unveils a new contemporary interior concept.
If you’re up for some freshly made pastas in the neighbourhood, you won’t go wrong with Pasta Fresca Da Salvatore. The Southern Italian restaurant chain keeps things fresh with new additions to its menu that are available across all three outlets at Boat Quay, Bukit Timah, and Siglap. To top things off, expect to feast on all your favourite Burratas or stuffed Raviolis in their newly renovated space – featuring all things sophisticated and sleek, complete with Lecce stone imported from Salvatore Carecci’s hometown in Southern Italy.
We tried a couple of dishes from their new menu:
Starters
Burrata Contadina
What’s an Italian restaurant without some creamy mozzarella goodness to kick things off? Pasta Fresca Da Salvatore introduces the Burrata Contadina, a traditional classic surrounded by a bed of grilled vegetables and porcini mushrooms, and finished off with basil oil and red wine reduction. The combination of rich buttery cheese with a spread of greens renders the dish a little less overwhelming – and perhaps even healthier. Served with grilled rosemary oil bread, the hint of bitterness from the rucola also nicely complements the delicate Burrata.
The Burrata Contadina is priced at SGD 20.80++.
Mains
Ravioli Di Burrata E Tartufo Nero
The Ravioli di Burrata e Tartufo Nero is truly a vegetarian’s paradise. Featuring homemade ravioli stuffed with Burrata Cheese and Black Truffle, each bite unveils melted cheesy goodness along with a wave of truffle aroma that leaves you yearning for more. Tossed in light, creamy Porcini Mushroom Sauce, the flavours of this dish is taken up a notch with a dollop of savoury Parma Ham and Truffles Caviar on the top.
The Ravioli di Burrata e Tartufo Nero is priced at SGD 25.90++.
Squid Ink Linguine Marinara
If you like your pasta drenched in squid ink, Chef would recommend pairing it with a tasty tomato-based marinara to bring out the fragrance of the seafood. Expect to find the usual suspects – prawns, squids, and mussels, all sautéed in olive oil and garlic. The classic combination of tangy tomato sauce with squid ink linguine makes it a safe option, simultaneously putting your mind at ease if you are averse to any hint of fishiness in your food.
The Squid Ink Linguine Marina is priced at SGD 22.90++
Dessert
Tiramisu Al Mascarpone E Caffe
After all that savoury foods, it’s time for some sweet treats to end off your meal. Another dessert you can’t go wrong with is the classic Tiramisu Al Mascarpone E Caffe. To make it more family-friendly, this tiramisu is liquor-free and features layers and layers of melt-in-the-mouth mascarpone cheese and coffee cake. A definite score for the younger ones, Pasta Fresca’s tiramisu tilts more towards the sweet side, with only a faint bitter taste from the cocoa powder.
The Tiramisu Al Mascarpone E Caffe is priced at SGD 10.90++.
