For users of DBS, OCBC Bank, American Express and Standard Chartered Bank credit cards, you’ll soon be able to use Samsung’s mobile payment service later this year.
Samsung recently announced this piece of news at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. Users can then pay for goods and services by tapping their mobile devices on a contactless card readers.
The NFC phones also come with a fingerprint reader, which adds a level of security to the credit cards, as the card owner’s fingerprint is necessary for completion of payment. Samsung Pay will support four major payment networks: American Express, China UnionPay, MasterCard and Visa.
Samsung phones that can support this new service include the Samsung Galaxy S6 range, Samsung Galaxy Note 5, as well as the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge.
