Taste New Zealand returns this week with quality meat and cheese, healthy snacks and chilled cider at Plaza Singapura Atrium.

Cold Storage’s “Taste New Zealand” returns with a range of quality food shipped directly from the shores of New Zealand. The week-long event from 23 to 29 May will feature items ranging from halal beef bacon, organic pumpkin seed butter, fruity beverages as well as quality meat and cheese.

Exciting activities include witnessing Celebrity Chef Kacey Whaitiri-Roberts with her live cooking demonstrations or even stepping into the green and vast lands of New Zealand with a specially prepared virtual reality experience.

With a wide array of activities to occupy yourself as well as your tastebuds, here are some tantalising treats to look out for:

Offering only the best of New Zealand’s meat and cheese produce, the star attraction at Taste New Zealand would be its New Zealand venison. Low in calories and fat, the succulent and tender meat is a must-try and serves as a healthier alternative to curb your red-meat cravings. To satisfy the inner cheese connoisseur in everyone, artisan cheesemakers Whitestone Cheese will present their new range of award-winning cheese, aged for six months for a strong, full-bodied flavour. Not to forget Livingstone Cheddar, a sharp flavoured cheddar cheese that contributes to making the perfect cheese platter.

For the health-conscious who are not as ready to give up their savoury crispy snacks, Taste New Zealand offers the perfect solution. Rutherford & Meyer Wafer Bites offer a light, bite-sized snack that can be paired with even the new Ceres Organic Pumpkin Seed Butter, a creamy paste made from lightly roasted pumpkin seeds blended with sunflower oil. Crisp light popcorn made with all natural ingredients, New Zealand Kettle Korm, is also available in 12 lunchbox-sized mini-packs.

Pair your snacks and food with Orchard Thieves’ freshly crushed apple cider in flavours such as Feijoa & Lime and Tropical Fruits; or select from the new range of wine exclusively available for the event with brands such as Dog Point Sauvignon Blanc 2015 to Craggy Range Muna Road Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2014.
