Seasonal Crustaceans At Hai Tien Lo

From 12 October to 29 November 2015, indulge in a premium selection of freshly caught, roe-filled seasonal crustaceans at Hai Tien Lo (海天楼).

The season to indulge in Hairy Crabs is here once again. Specially crafted by Hai Tien Lo’s Executive Chef Lai Tong Ping, look forward to eight a la carte items and a six-course prix fixe menu featuring the finest of these crustaceans. Well known for their luscious meat and rich creamy roe, the seasonal Hairy Crabs are best paired with fresh ginger tea or wine.

For a la carte items, savour a burst of natural sweetness with the Steamed Whole Hairy Crab with Perilla Leaves (SGD 78 per piece), or relish the smooth handcrafted Braised Beancurd with Prawns, Hairy Crab Meat and Roe (SGD 36) which will melt in the mouth with every bite.

Guests can also delight in the premium Stewed Boston Lobster with Egg White, Crab Meat and Roe (SGD 62), which features a silky smooth egg white and flavourful tender lobster meat.

For a lighter option, diners may opt for the Steamed Minced Pork Dumpling with Hairy Crab Meat and Roe (SGD 6.80 per serving of three pieces). Featuring a silky crab meat and flavourful soup filling encased in delicate dumpling skin, the dish is complemented with luscious golden crab roe for an added texture.

Other a la carte items available include the Stewed Fragrant Rice with Hairy Crab and Pearl Mushrooms (SGD 78), Poached Dumplings with Fresh Prawns, Hairy Crab Meat and Roe in Chilli Oil (SGD 6.80 per serving of three pieces), Steamed Minced Pork Dumplings with Hairy Crab Meat and Roe (SGD 6.80 per serving of three pieces) and the Seafood with Bamboo Pith, Hairy Crab Meat and Roe in Thick Broth (SGD 22).

Embark on a pampering experience with Chef Lai’s indulgent six-course menu which will highlight the different and unique ways of preparing the succulent hairy crabs. Some dishes to look out for include the Stewed Ee-fu Noodles with Crab Meat and Enoki Mushrooms and the Braised Sea Cucumber stuffed with Prawn Paste and Minced Pork in Crab Meat and Roe.

Available for lunch and dinner, the six-course menu is priced at SGD 188 per person, with a minimum of two diners required. A la carte items start from SGD 6.80 per serving.
