Singapore’s Newly Crowned Michelin Star Restaurants

Foodies take note! Today marked Singapore’s first-ever prestigious MICHELIN Guide award ceremony which saw the announcement of Singapore’s newly starred establishments.
First things first, to get a better understanding of the Michelin star selection process, here’s a quick guide:
Three Stars: exceptional cuisine, worth a special journey
Two Stars: excellent cooking, worth a detour
One Star: high quality cooking, worth a stop!
The moment we’ve all been anticipating for is here and the following 22 restaurants have been awarded with One Star:
– Alma
– The Kitchen at Bacchanalia
– Béni
– Candlenut
– Corner House
– Crystal jade golden palace
– Cut
– Forest
– Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle
– Hong Kong soya sauce chicken rice & noodle
– Jaan
– Lei Garden
– Osia
– Putien (Kitchener road)
– Rhubarb
– Shinji (Beach Road)
– Shinji (Tanglin Road)
– Summer Pavillion
– Sushi Ichi
– Terra
– The Song of India
– Waku Ghin
Very interestingly, the One Star selection included street food for the first time ever, with Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle and Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice & Noodle joining the ranks.
Crowned with Two Stars are the following six establishments:
– André
– L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon
– Odette
– Shisen Hanten
– Shoukouwa
– Les Amis
Last but not least, the newly crowned Three Michelin Star restaurant was none other than Joël Robuchon Restaurant, offering refined, contemporary French cuisine in a majestic art deco-inspired dining room.
