Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas Expands To Cambodia

Slated to open in 2017, Six Senses is set to open its latest resort in Krabey Island, Cambodia.

Just a 10-minute drive from Phnom Pneh International Airport, the new Six Senses Krabey Island resort will feature 40 pool villas set around the naturally landscaped 30-acre island. The private pool villas exemplify Six Senses’ commitment to using sustainable material while embracing modern technology for the convenience and comfort of its guests.

Living rooms will include a day bed that can be adapted into an additional bed, minibar and working desk; while the master bedroom features a canopy bed. All units will include a private plunge pool and deck for guests to sunbathe and enjoy al fresco poolside dining. The resort will also offer the “Sleep with Six Senses” experience, which includes Naturalmat mattresses and dedicated sleep ambassadors to guide guests into achieving the most restful sleep.

Dining options include an all-day restaurant serving breakfast buffet and a la carte selections, as well as a la carte lunches and seasonally themed dinners. For lighter bites and refreshments, guests may head to the poolside, while an ice cream parlour will also be available at the deli. Guests looking to unwind over some drinks alongside stunning sea views, may do so at the elevated bar. The resort’s specialty dining restaurant, Indochine, will include a communal dining table as well as hands-on cooking classes for interested guests hoping to learn more about Indochine-inspired cuisine.

Relax and rejuvenate at Six Senses Spa Krabey Island and choose from several ancient Cambodian healing traditions, or Six Senses Integrative Wellness, detox, yoga and workshops. The Alchemy Bar will also be available at the resort, where visiting practitioners bring in a range of alternative and acclaimed treatments. In addition, guests may sip on healthy juices at the juice bar which incorporates a wide variety of fresh fruits and herbs from the island.

For those looking for some thrill and adventure, Six Senses Krabey Island will also offer a range of under and over-water activities which include snorkelling, diving and kayaking. Perfect for romantic nights, the poolside outdoor cinema, Cinema Paradiso will screen classic movies under the stars. A family-friendly observatory housing an astronomical telescope will also be available at the resort for stargazing sessions as well as expert talks on the universe.
