Securifi’s Almond+ will make it a lot easier for you to set up a smart home of your own.
It used to be the case that you needed contracted help to design and install it in your house, but these days routers like Securifi’s Almond+ make it a lot easier for you to do the same on your own.
Many smart devices operate on different protocols, which means that they operate only within a ‘network’. The challenge (or tediousness) comes from having to have these separate ‘networks’ talk to each other.
Securifi’s Almond+ has integrated support for ZigBee and Z-Wave, two of the most prevalent protocols on the market, thus ensuring a wide range of compatibility. Having your Internet of Things (IoT) devices all on one platform (router) simplifies things considerably.
Securifi works closely with many key players in the smart device category, such as Nest and Philips Hue to integrate their services, and this allows users the convenience of controlling all their smart devices through the Almond app.
That’s not to say that the Almond+ is a dumbed-down device. The Almond+ features a Rules UI that allows complex interaction and automation between various smart devices through a simple, visual interface. You can use it to do things like trigger the electronic bolt door to unlock, turn on the lights and the TV when your smartphone comes into the range of your home Wi-Fi.
