Combat dryness with Smile Makers luxurious water-based lubricants – Little Light Liquid, Stay Silky Serum and Generous Gel.

As a sexual wellbeing brand, Smile Makers by Ramblin’ Brands is revolutionising skin care with its new premium line of personal lubricants – promising a pampering experience to even the most intimate areas of our bodies. The brand sees lubricant use as a part of beauty care and hopes to give women a lubricant product they will really love.

According to Dr. Komathy Rajaratnam, Founder and Aesthetic Physician of The Lifestyle Clinic, women should be just as mindful about the products they put on their intimate areas, as they would on their face.

As many women have expressed concerns about the ingredients used in lubricants, Ramblin’ Brands hopes that consumers would educate themselves on what a good lubricant should and should not contain.

Dr. James Lee, Gynaecologist at Astra Women Specialists, recommends the use of water based lubricants as they will not retain in the body and are easier to rinse off. He added that water based lubricants are also safe to use with latex contraceptives and silicone vibrators. Lubricants that contain parabens or fragrances can cause irritation and should be avoided.

To address these concerns, Smile Makers has developed lubricants that are water based, pH-optimal, paraben-free and fragrance-free. It is also the first brand to introduce ingredients from luxury skincare products to lubricants such as Dipotassium  Glycyrrhizate (DPG) from Japan, and Methyl Propanediol imported from France.

DPG is a natural extract from the licorice root and contains anti-stinging properties that help relieve itchiness or pain. Suitable for those with sensitive skin, DPG acts as a soothing skin conditioning agent and is commonly found in luxury skincare brands such as Kosé, Kanebo, and Shiseido.

Methyl Propanediol on the other hand, is a water solubiliser that provides a silky and moisturised feeling during and after use. As many lubricants in the market are often too sticky or not long-lasting, Smile Makers uses a mix of pharma-grade glycerin and Methyl Propanediol in its lubricants to ensure it  lasts long without becoming sticky.

Smile Makers Personal Lubricants are available in three versions:

Smile Makers Lubricant Little Light Liquid

Little Light Liquid – as light as a feather, this lubricant is formulated for a natural sensation.

Smile Makers Lubricant Stay Silky Serum

Stay Silky Serum – silky and soft, this soothing lubricant instantly nourishes for a smoother, velvety feel.

Smile Makers Lubricant Generous Gel

Generous Gel – rich and luxuriously textured, this ultra-sensorial lubricant provides just the right amount of cushioning.

To match the formulation in quality, the packaging is designed by Smile Makers’ award-winning designer – the creative mind behind SK-II, Gucci, and D&G’s fragrance bottles. The brand hopes to give women elegant lubricants that they can place on their vanity table with their other beauty products.

Smile Makers Personal Lubricants are available at selected Watsons stores and retail at SGD 29.95 each.
