Support Cancer Patients At AXA Blue Elephant Parade

In support of the Singapore Cancer Society (SCS), members of the public can make a small donation to fold origami elephants at the AXA Blue Elephant Parade.

Held from 15 to 21 August 2016 at NEX, join over 100 AXA Singapore staff at the AXA Blue Elephant Parade as they attempt to set a Singapore record of folding the most origami elephants possible.

During the week-long event, members of the public can make a SGD 1 donation for a piece of blue paper, and will be taught how to fold a simple origami elephant. All donations will go into aiding SCS patients and their families with their daily living expenses, both financial and non-financial. AXA Singapore will also be matching dollar for dollar with every public donation to ensure that the event benefits as many patients as possible.

All origami elephants will be collected and added to a display to represent the public’s well wishes and encouragement towards the cancer patients at SCS. The event will also see AXA Singapore setting the local record for the “Largest Number of Origami Elephants Folded” in the Singapore Book of Records, with the final count taking place on the last day of the event.

Members of the public may also send well wishes to their own loved ones by taking home an origami from AXA Singapore’s one-of-a-kind Kinect dispenser. With just a wave of the hand, the interactive installation will generate a folded origami elephant for users, allowing them to play and pen down a message to their loved ones. Recipients of the origami will also stand to win exciting prizes!

The AXA Blue Elephant Parade will be held at NEX (Serangoon), Atrium Level 1 (Near Uniqlo), 23 Serangoon Central, Singapore 556083.
