The Apple Watch Gets a (Design) Refresh

As Apple works on its software and finding more uses for its signature watch, the newest in Apple Watch news – apart from an OS update – is more in design variation.

If the pricey gold Apple Watch got you shaking your head at its ridiculous asking price, then the new gold cases in matching brushed aluminium (with your phone) will be a godsend. So now, there’s a matching Apple Watch for your iPhone colour of choice.

There will also be new bands, with new Fluoroelastomer Sport bands in lavender, antique white, stone and midnight blue.

• The Apple Watch silver aluminum is now available with new orange or blue Sport Bands.
• The stainless steel Apple Watch collection features new bands, including a two-toned Classic Buckle in black or saddle brown.
• The Apple Watch space black stainless steel case is now available with a black Sport Band.
• The Apple Watch Edition now includes an 18-karat rose gold case with a midnight blue Classic Buckle.
• A (PRODUCT)RED version is also available with a signature red band.

Prices are unchanged and start from S$518, and are now available. The (PRODUCT)RED version starts from S$798.

But the star, sort of, has got to be its collaboration with Hermès, which culminates in three different strap styles as well as a custom watch face.

Named the Single Tour, Double Tour, and the Cuff respectively, the Hermès line will be available in Singapore from October 5 at the Hermès store and Malmaison By The Hour Glass.

• The Single Tour with the 38 mm stainless steel case comes in fauve Barenia leather, noir box leather and capucine Swift leather.
• The Single Tour with 42 mm stainless steel case comes in fauve Barenia leather and noir box leather.
• The Double Tour pairs uses the 38 mm stainless steel case and is available in fauve Barenia leather and bleu jean, capucine and etain Swift leather.
• The Cuff pairs with the 42 mm stainless steel case and is available in fauve Barenia leather only.

Each steel case carries an etching of the Hermès signature and includes a customisable face with three exclusive dial designs inspired by Clipper, Cape Cod and Espace Hermès watches. Prices start from US$1,100.
