The LG V10 goes to Ten on Features
LG launches the first of its new V Series phones – the LG V10.
Packed with features galore, this looker of a phone is also tough. It has a stainless steel frame and silicon bumpers, and is certified to comply with military grade specifications for drop testing (transit drop). It’s also designed to be practical, utilising a user replaceable battery and an expandable microSD slot (supports up to 2TB) to add on to its onboard storage of 64GB.
The new V10 sports a six-core Snapdragon 808 processor, which offers performance without the uncomfortable extra heat that its more powerful cousin (Snapdragon 810) will have. What’s unique is that it has a dual display: a main 5.7-inch primary display paired with a secondary, always-on 2.1-inch display that’s used to show notifications and other relevant information without having to power up the main screen.
The V10 also has two cameras on its front face; one for an 80-degree field of view, the other, 120 degrees, giving it plenty of versatility, be it taking a group picture or a lone one. The 16-megapixel rear camera has an optical image stabiliser built-in, and features a manual mode for both image- and video-taking.
The phone is also equipped with a 32-bit Hi-Fi grade DAC that is capable of playing high resolution audio files up to DSD256 bitrate, which is almost the highest resolution bitrate available that’s available (DSD512 is available, but still rare).
Retailing at S$1,088, the LGV10 is available in two colours (Modern Beige, Ocean Blue) at all M1, StarHub, Singtel stores as well as other authorised LG Mobile retailers.
