Are you a heavy mobile data user who often have to pay over a hundred for excess data usage? M1’s new unlimited plan may be perfect for you.
At S$98, no one will say that it is cheap – you’ll get far more bandwidth for your money at home. But any heavy user on the move will find this somewhat of a relief.
The launch promotion, which is valid until 3 September 2017, gives you free unlimited talk time for one year (enter promo code ‘MYSIMPROMO’ at check-out for online sign-up).
In addition, M1 also has a range of data-centric plans, putting them in a good position to compete against Circles.Life, who shot to prominence offering customisable plans that are favourable to those who prioritise data usage.
Alternatives
StarHub also introduced an unlimited data feature, albeit one that offers unlimited usage on Saturdays and Sundays. However, the advantage is that you don’t need a top-tier plan to enjoy the benefits.
Circles.Life has no option for an unlimited package for now, but you can opt for a 26GB plan for S$48 with the option for additional customizations.
Singtel has not responded yet with its own package but do keep a lookout.
