Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy welcomes the Lunar New Year with a selection of traditional takeaways, goodies and set menus for a hassle-free reunion dinner.

Preparing for reunion dinners at home may require a lot of time and effort, especially for those who are strapped for time. This year, Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy has put together some festive offerings that will make preparing for reunion dinners a hassle-free experience.

Traditional Lunar New Year Takeaways

Prepared by Master Chef Victor Lee of Jia Wei Chinese Restaurant, some of the traditional Lunar New Year takeaways include the Baked Pig Trotter in Golden Ingot, Bountiful Prosperity “Yu Sheng” Set, the signature Jia Wei Treasure Pot “Pen Cai”, and “Buddha Jump Over the Wall”.

The signature Baked Pig Trotter in Golden Ingot features a slow cooked pig trotter cooked with “Eight Head” Abalone, Conpoy, Sea Moss and Radish, served in Chef Victor’s signature sauce. The dish is encased in salt shaped like a golden ingot, which will be broken open upon serving. The Baked Pig Trotter in Golden Ingot serves up to 10 people and is priced at SGD 258. All orders for the Baked Pig Trotter in Golden Ingot require one-day advance booking.

What is Chinese New Year without some “Yu Sheng” (festive salad for good luck)? At Jia Wei Chinese Restaurant, the Bountiful Prosperity “Yu Sheng” Set includes one large Prosperity Salmon “Yu Sheng”, a pair of Lucky Fish and Glutinous Rice with Waxed Meat wrapped with Lotus Leaf. The Bountiful Prosperity “Yu Sheng” Set is priced at SGD 168. Options for Lobster instead of Salmon are also available.

Featuring premium ingredients cooked in a pot of rich broth, both the signature Jia Wei Treasure Pot “Pen Cai” and “Buddha Jump Over the Wall” come inclusive of other Lunar New Year favourites and signature dishes.
