U Live Symposium 2016 Returns This September

Back for its seventh year, the U Live Symposium 2016 will feature even more talks and workshops, activities and attractive promotions for active agers.

Held over two Sundays, the U Live Symposium 2016 makes its return this 18 September and 25 September 2016. Organised by U Live, the event is catered for those aged 50 and above, and covers topics related to health, upgrading of skills, and to find out how other seniors are leading Happy, Healthy, Productive and Purposeful lives.

Focusing on the tagline, “Bites ‘N’ Bytes” this year, the event will see two main categories – Wellness through Food and Technology & Finance Made Simple, catering to varying needs and interests.

Drop by the Healthy Bites Fair on 18 September 2016 to purchase fresh produce, organic food and even artisanal snacks from stores such as Zenxin Organic, BoxGreen and more. On top of that, visitors may go for health monitoring and consultation services where they can check on their current health status. Entertaining fringe demonstrations such as massages and healthy cooking will also be rolling out along the day.

The week after, on 25 September 2016, visitors may drop by the Seniors’ Bytes Fair to check out senior-friendly gadget sales, exciting virtual reality experiences, 3D printing, as well as learn how to navigate on mobile apps throughout the day.

Entry to both the Healthy Bites Fair and Seniors’ Bytes Fair is free to the public from 10am to 6pm.

In addition to these two fairs, U Live Symposium 2016 will also offer informative talks and hands-on workshops covering health and wellness, technology and financial topics specially tailored for active agers. Some topics include “Everyday Essential Food: How It Helps Or Harms You”, “Use of Chinese Herbs in Our Diet”. Those looking to enhance their skills and knowledge may look out for topics such as “Safeguard Yourself Online or While Mobile”, or “Are You Ready for Retirement?”.

Each talk is priced at SGD 7 for NTUC members, and SGD 10 for the public. Visitors may also purchase a symposium pass to gain access to two talks per day on both days. The Symposium pass is priced at SGD 20 for NTUC members, and SGD 30 for the public.

U Live Symposium 2016 will be held at Downtown East, 1 Pasir Rise Close, Singapore 519599, from 9am to 6pm. Each participant will also receive an Event Pack worth over SGD 20.
