Under Armour Test Of Will 2016: First Regional Fitness Challenge

Kicking off in Singapore this April, test your will to train with the first-ever Asia-wide fitness challenge.

U.S. high performance sportswear label Under Armour celebrates human performance, functional fitness and training lifestyle with the Under Armour Test of Will 2016. The elite event will feature national heats staggered over the month of April in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines.

Accessible to everyone with the will to train, the Under Armour Test of Will 2016 is an urban fitness challenge designed for the growing community of advanced athletes and fitness aspirants across Asia. Using only body weight and simple gear, competitors will have to complete a four-minute circuit that assesses functional fitness through callisthenic motion.

The circuit challenge comprises of four sets of exercises: burpees, squats, dumbbell presses and pull-ups (inclined pull-ups for women). For every exercise, each competitor will have to complete the maximum number of reps they can achieve within 60 seconds. The two highest scoring women and two highest scoring men of the national heats from each respective country will win a trip to Singapore to compete in the Under Armour Test of Will Grand Final held at Gardens by the Bay on 28 May 2016.

At the Grand Final, contestants will go through a series of challenges in a specially built 14-metre Tower. The Tower will contain levels of different fitness zones with various callisthenic exercises that test mental and physical strength, endurance, determination and will. The highest overall point leader in each category wins.

The overall winner will receive the title of Under Armour Southeast Asia (SEA) Brand Athlete and an Under Armour sponsorship package for 12 months. In addition, the winners of both male and female categories will be featured in Men’s Health Singapore and SHAPE Singapore.

All competitors are eligible for prize draws and rewards from Under Armour, as well as event partners including GoPro, Subaru and Red Bull.

  • Singapore: Bugis Junction; 9 and 10 April 2016; 10am to 9:30pm
  • Philippines: Bonifacio High St, Manila; 16 and 17 April 2016; 10am to 9:30pm
  • Malaysia: Sunway Pyramid, Kuala Lumpur; 23 and 24 April 2016; 10am to 9:30pm
  • Thailand: Parc Paragon, Bangkok; 30 April and 1 May; 10am to 9:30pm

The Grand Final will be held at Gardens by the Bay, Singapore from 8am to 1pm on 28 May 2016.
