Will This Jabra Eclipse the Competition?

If anything, the new Jabra Eclipse hands free brings elegance to the table with an irresistible combination of performance and sleekness.

Jabra touts its new high-end Eclipse as its lightest-ever headset, weighing a mere 5.5 grams. The slim profile keeps it unobtrusive on your person, and yet it’s designed with performance in mind.

Featuring a music-grade speaker driver, the Eclipse is designed to provide clarity, be it taking calls or simply listening to an audiobook. It’s also compatible with Google Now and Apple’s Siri, and it even reads out text messages if you’re using an Android phone.

Jabra Assist – the matching mobile app – adds additional functionality by giving you the ability to customise the headset further, such as changing audio quality, do over-the-air firmware updates for the Eclipse via the app, track battery levels and even the headset location if you for some reason misplace it.

Like the stylish Jabra Stone, the Jabra Eclipse comes with its own stylish, yet practical, carry case. It doubles up as a portable charger that gives your Eclipse an additional seven hours of talk time taking it to a total of 10 hours on the road. At the same time, the Eclipse has an operating range of 30 meters; it can remember up to eight devices it has been paired with, and can connect with two at any one time (multiuse).

The Jabra Eclipse will be available from mid-October onwards at a retail price of S$219.
