The Wings For Life World Run is a global race organised by Red Bull and taking place on 9 May 2021.

The Wings for Life World Run will be held exclusively via the App and flags off globally at 7pm (SGT/GMT +8) and is open to both runners and wheelchair participants.

Participants can observe social distancing measures by opting to run by themselves or in small groups, but yet remain connected to the community of 236,000 runners globally through the app.

100 percent of all entry fees goes to spinal cord research. Since 2014, the Wings for Life World Run community has been running together every May for those who cannot. With their entry fees, the runners and wheelchair users support the Wings for Life Spinal Cord Research Foundation with the goal to find a cure for spinal cord injuries.

To be a part of the run, participants need to register for the race at http://www.wingsforlifeworldrun.com or simply download the Wings For Life World Run App (Available in iOS/Android).

The run will flag off at the same time globally with runners and wheelchair users starting at exactly the same time of 11:00 UTC / 19:00 SGT for a truly synchronised race.

Through the Wings For Life app, participants will find that a virtual Catcher Car replaces the concept of the finish line. The virtual Catcher Car takes off 30 minutes after the start gun and begins its chase of participants, starting at speed of 15km/h.

The Catcher Car increases its speed steadily until all the participants are caught, for a truly competitive and social marathon. Once passed by the Catcher Car, participants have successfully completed the run.

Everyone is a finisher in the Wings for Life World Run.
