AirAsia Kallang Run Kicks Off with Adventure and Community Spirit

By  |  0 Comments

From flight-themed games to scenic riverfront routes, Singapore’s latest inclusive run offers fitness, fun and a $50 head start on your next holiday

What do running shoes and boarding passes have in common? This September, they both take centre stage at the inaugural AirAsia Kallang Run — a family-friendly sporting event that’s more celebration than competition

Taking place on 27 September 2025, the AirAsia Kallang Run invites seasoned athletes, leisure joggers and first-time runners to lace up and hit the vibrant circuit around the Singapore Sports Hub.

Organised by Kallang Alive Sport Management (KASM) and supported by title sponsor AirAsia, this new community run blends fitness with flight-inspired entertainment.

Two Routes, One Destination: Joyful Movement

With non-competitive 5km and 10km categories, the run is designed for all ages and experience levels, including children aged four and above. The route begins at Stadium Riverside Walk, winding past the Kallang Basin and lush city landmarks.

Need motivation mid-run? Expect aviation-themed carnival points along the way — nods to the original Kallang Airport that once sat on this very site.
To add flair to the fun, the “Best Dressed” individual and family awards will celebrate creative costumes — aviation and wanderlust themes welcome.

More Than a Run: Race Village at OCBC Square

Once the running’s done, the festivities continue at OCBC Square, where a full day of immersive entertainment awaits:

  • Flight-themed games inspired by global destinations
  • Live performances, including a surprise number by the AirAsia Cabin Crew
  • Lucky draw prizes, including return flights to Cairns, Fukuoka and other coveted destinations

Sport with Heart

“This run complements our wider aim of encouraging active lifestyles and community connection,” said Yazed Osman, Group Head of Events & Placemaking at KASM. “We’re proud to partner with AirAsia to bring this experience to life.”

Dato’ Captain Fareh Mazputra, AirAsia Malaysia CEO, echoed the sentiment: “This isn’t just about flying — it’s about staying connected with the communities we serve, through experiences that uplift and inspire.”
