Removing Barriers to Play: AIRZONE Becomes Singapore’s First Attraction to Champion Tech-Enabled Inclusion
Singapore’s AIRZONE is partnering with Australia-based Cérge Tech to become the nation’s first attraction to champion inclusive recreation.
This collaboration introduces a digital platform that provides Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and their caregivers with comprehensive information about accessibility and sensory experiences before they even visit.
Launched in 2018 as the world’s first indoor suspended playground, AIRZONE is making a major commitment to accessibility. Through its partnership with Cérge Tech, AIRZONE aims to ensure that all guests, regardless of accessibility or sensorial needs, can enjoy themselves with confidence and ease.
The move was spurred by the experience of having returning visitors with disabilities, which reinforced AIRZONE’s desire to facilitate wider participation.
“At AIRZONE, we believe that play should be accessible to everyone,” said Sam Chiu, Co-founder of AIRZONE.

How Cérge Tech Multiplies Confidence
Cérge Tech, an award-winning Australian company , is making its debut in Southeast Asia through this collaboration. Its digital accessibility companion website allows PWDs and their caregivers to access key information about recreational venues prior to their visit.
The platform replaces uncertainty with confidence, independence, and participation. It provides crucial details regarding a destination’s accessibility, sensory experience (such as lighting and sound) , and available support services.
Key features of the platform include:
- Virtual and Audio Guides: Visitors can better plan and navigate their experiences using a virtual tour and an AI-powered audio guide. This is also helpful for parents needing to plan stroller routes.
- Empowering Venues: Cérge Tech equips onboarded venues like AIRZONE with the necessary awareness, training, and information to better prepare their staff for a more welcoming and inclusive experience for PWDs.
New Inclusive Play Features
Located in City Square Mall, AIRZONE features four levels of bouncy nets but is now introducing new, technology-enhanced experiences designed to appeal to PWDs and multi-generational families.
These newly added inclusive play features include:
- Multi-level Laser Tag
- Silent Disco
These activities can be enjoyed from the sidelines, without having to step onto the nets. This allows PWDs who require mobility equipment to participate alongside their family and friends. The activities are also designed to be age-inclusive, allowing seniors to participate.
Chris Kerrisk, Co-founder of Cérge Tech, expressed hope that this partnership will “encourage other attraction venues in Singapore to partner with us to make shared spaces more inclusive”.
