The event brings in 3 nights of star-studded entertainment and an inaugural format – The Late Show

The Singapore International Jazz Festival (SING JAZZ) will be held at the Event Plaza at Marina Bay Sands from 31 March – 2 April 2017. There will be performances from multiple Grammy Award winners including Corinne Bailey Rae and David Foster and other music stars such as Nik West, Youssou Ndour & Le Super Etoile de Dakar, Raúl Midón Trio.

The festival kicks off on 31 March with Corinne Bailey Rae who shot to fame with her self-titled debut album in February 2006. Corinne is the fourth female British act in history to have her first album debut at number one on the UK Album Charts. The “Put Your Records On” singer has since won two Grammy Awards for her EP “Is This Love” and her work on Herbie Hancock’s album ‘The River’.

The second night of the Festival sees an eclectic mix of heart-thumping beats from funk bassist & vocalist Nik West and Senegalese Grammy Award winner Youssou Ndour & Le Super Etoile de Dakar.

Closing the Festival on Sunday will be the “Hitman” himself, David Foster. 16-time Grammy award-winning “super-producer” and songwriter David Foster will perform with a soon-to-be-announced star-studded line-up of “Friends” in what promises to be a spectacular finale for the fourth Singapore International Jazz Festival weekend at Marina Bay Sands.

The Late Show

The Festival is expanding to include The Late Show. This programme segment starts at 10pm until 4am and will be held indoors at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre. The Late Show merges VIP table service, world-class ‘live’, DJ and improvisation performances, curated by Robbie Hoyes-Cock, the founder of Singapore’s Grand Prix Season after-parties.

According to Festival organisers, The Late Show will feature “…music sets performed by international artists and DJs such as industry stalwart Incognito, electronic duo Basement Jaxx, Al McKay’s Earth, Wind & Fire Experience, as well as Rudimental DJ Set. Jean-Paul ‘Bluey’ Maunick of Incognito will also ensure music lovers can continue their partying indoors on Friday and Saturday with exciting one-off music collaborations on stage.”
