From 6 to 23 October, ION Art Photography Series 2016 is set to feature the richness and diversity of Singapore’s many unique subcultures.

ION Orchard presents its signature photography showcase, ION Art Photography Series 2016: Singapore Streetscapes featuring local photographers Aik Beng Chia & Mark Teo. Back with its third installment this year, the exhibition is dedicated to supporting and recognising the work of mid-career and established local photographers, while exploring the many facets of Singapore’s subcultures.

Photography connoisseurs and visitors can look forward to a visual feast featuring over 60 photographs and a stunning collection of images focusing on street art, extreme sports and music. On top of that, photographer Mark Teo will be holding a workshop to share his style of capturing movement. Aik Beng Chia will also be hosting a photography dialogue session on 9 October to share his experience and techniques used when photographing portraits in the streets of Singapore.

From now to 23 October, visitors can also take part in the ION Art Photography Contest, by submitting their own photos or videos of “movement” or “street photography” with the hashtag #IONArt and #IONgraphy on Facebook or Instagram. Five lucky winners will stand to win SGD 50 shopping vouchers each.

As for the art aficionados, ION Art will also be hosting the “Urban-G” art exhibitions, which will showcase the works of five painters, examining aspects of our natural environment and urban landscapes. Entry is free to all visitors from 10am-10pm daily.
