By  |  0 Comments

Ready to put meaning in your miles? Run For Hope — one of Singapore’s longest-standing cancer awareness events — returns for its 32nd edition on Sunday, 23 November 2025 at Marina Barrage, and registration is officially open.

Whether you’re a weekend jogger or a seasoned runner, choose between a 5km or 10km route, soak in the uplifting atmosphere, and help fuel life-saving cancer research at the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS).

Why Does Run for Hope Matter?

Cancer continues to hit hard — with an average of 48 new cases daily in Singapore between 2018 and 2022. But there’s hope. And hope looks like better treatments, earlier diagnoses, and the community stepping up — one stride at a time.

Run For Hope is more than a tradition — it’s a legacy of support. Since 1993, it’s evolved from a small gathering into a unifying force that raised over SGD216,000 last year with more than 5,000 participants. All proceeds go directly to cancer research at NCCS.

Real People. Real Stories. Real Impact.

For Mr. Chiam Geak Onn, hope is personal. Diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer in 2000 and given just six months to live, he’s still standing strong 24 years later. “If there is a will to live, there is definitely a way,” he says — a living testament to the power of research and resilience.

And then there’s Mulyazid Ahmad, who runs with his late father’s name on his bib each year. “He taught me strength even in his weakest moments,” Mulyazid shares. That’s what this run is about — honoring stories, spreading strength, and showing up for those who can’t.
